'France 24' reports that rights people were outraged by comments of President Sarkozy, apparently stigmatizing "travelling people". His condemning remarks were made after 50 rioters took to the streets in protest with axes in the Cher region, protesting the death of a 22-year-old boy, shot by police. The President said the violence "highlights a certain kind of behaviour" in these communities. More

'The Moscow Times' reports that the US Labour Department placed Russian pornography on a blacklist of products that "might have mined, produced or manufactured by forced or indentured child labour". Children's ombudsman said that it was a clear effort to crack down on child porn - for which both the US and Russia were "world leaders". More

'Sofia Echo' reports that police have investigated prostitutes in Varna for more than four months and have arrested 27 in a large raid. One girl was only 17 - she was returned to her parents. The report does not mention whether any of the women - including a Russian - was victim of trafficking. More

'Times Online' reports on a case of an Iraqi unaccompanied asylum-seeking minor in the UK. After initial age assessment that put his age between 13 and 16 two years ago, he started learning English and is studying towards a certificate of secondary education. The age assessment however was questioned and a subsequent one identified him as now being 20 and he is facing expulsion. More
