Switzerland: Fuss over refugee children that disappear Terre des hommes lays blame for something that cannot be proven

The article was written after Tdh presented its publication Surfeit of Children in Europe. It criticizes Tdh for laying blame on the authorities for disappearing foreign unaccompanied minors from institutions – whereas there are no proven numbers of how many there are.
While the author if the article tries to refute the points made by the study, it is based on the exact point Tdh is making in the study: authorities who place these children in institutions can not prove where the disappeared children are. Tdh cannot find these young people to prove its point when even the authorities and journalists are incapable of finding them.
The article however rightly points out that the main point of the study is to raise awareness of the public and of responsible authorities of this phenomenon and to encourage them for strengthened protection off these children.
