Poland Trainings on prevention and identification of victims of trafficking in Poland

Poland, Warsaw In November the Nobody’s Children Foundation conducted two two-day trainings conveying basic knowledge on the problem of child trafficking, specifics of the phenomenon and the role of different professionals groups.
Border Guard officers (38 participants) were trained especially in methods of identification of victims of trafficking and intervention in cooperation with other authorities. During the training for school pedagogues held on 19–20 November, the emphasis was put on prevention issues. The training was conducted as a part of a recent CoE trafficking prevention action targeting young people – “You are not for sale!” implemented in Poland by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration.
During the training scenario of prevention workshop for adolescents that have been developed within NCF, was presented for the first time. Participants who decided to conduct the workshop at their place of work were asked to fill in and send feedback questionnaires. Meeting gathered 56 participants. The trainings mentioned above were planned together with the Ministries responsible for prevention and fight against trafficking (Ministry of Education and Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration).
Evaluation of the trainings showed satisfaction and interest of participants. According to feedbacks the knowledge gained during the trainings will contribute to the participants’ daily work.
