Hungary Supreme Court Victory for Segregated Roma Children in Miskolc
7 Jun 2010
‘PRLog’ reports that the Hungarian court of law awarded compensation to victims of anti-Roma school segregation, for the first time. Five children were awarded compensation for enduring segregation in Miskolc. According to Chance For Children Foundation, follow-up cases based on the ruling could benefit over 150,000 students but the aim is to show that real harm has been done by segregating Roma children.
