France Outrage as Sarkozy says nomadic groups pose 'problems'

‘France 24’ reports that human rights campaigners were outraged by comments of President Sarkozy, apparently stigmatizing “travelling people”. His condemning remarks were made after 50 rioters took to the streets in protest with axes in the Cher region, protesting the death of a 22-year-old boy, shot by police. The President said the violence “highlights a certain kind of behaviour” in these communities.
