Switzerland Call to outlaw corporal punishment of children

• ‘Swissinfo’ reports about the*"Tdh conference on corporal punishment"*:http://www.tdh-childprotection.org/content/view/1324/1 held on August 27 in Bern. It called on Switzerland to join the 19 European countries that have completely banned the practice. A recent initiative in Parliament was rejected with the argument that children were protected adequately by current legislation.
