‘AlertNet’ reports of an initiative of World Vision and PhotoVoice that teaches children in Kurbin, Albania, photography skills. Armed with this new knowledge the children show problems of their community in a way to advocate for change. Many of the participants decided to show the faces of poverty and child labour, sympathizing with their peers who need to work in order to contribute to the income of the family. By doing so they jeopardize not only their future but often their health and lives in the street. The photos were shown in exhibitions in three communities in Albania.
