Reality and Process of Trafficking of Romanian Minors in Relation to Migration

The purpose of this article is analyzing and understanding the mechanisms leading to the exploitation of Romanian migrant minors. In developing our research we had recourse to: a. the observations and interviews with young people, their families and the organizations responsible for their protection in the country of origin and the countries of destination, b. scientific work, c. press articles and other information documents. As the theme chosen might incite value judgments, two pitfalls should be avoided: the stigmatization of the whole of Romanian migrants and a culturalist reading regarding Romanians and Roma justifying or condoning the situation without trying to analyze.
