Abstract	The conference “STOP AL TRÁFICO DE NIÑOS”, organised by Tierra de Hombres and Fundación por la Justicia, took place in Valencia and Castellón (Spain), from the 7th to the 9th of May 2008. The conference brought together different State representatives and organisations, including representatives of international governmental and non-governmental organisations, Spanish civil society as well as independent experts in the area of anti-trafficking from around the world. In addition to discussing the phenomenon, its root causes and ways to address them, at the end of the conference, the participants agreed on a number of recommendations aiming at improving the protection of children and young people at risk or victims of trafficking. This text includes the recommendations of the Conference and is referred to as the Declaration of Valencia.
